Terms of business for consultancy calls

These terms apply when you book a consultancy call with Tarquin Leadbetter, a sole trader trading as Leadbetter & Co., whose business address is Higher Trevibban Farm, St Ervan, Wadebridge, Cornwall PL27 7SH (“we”, “us”). By booking a call, you agree to these terms. Founder advisory, board advisory and due diligence engagements are covered by a separate written agreement.
Booking and payment
A consultancy call lasts up to 60 minutes. The fee is confirmed when you book. To book, email us with what you would like to discuss and your preferred times. We will confirm a date and send an invoice, which is payable in full before the call. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
Rescheduling and cancellation
- You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your call. If you cancel, we will refund your payment in full.
- If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, or do not attend, the fee is not refundable. We may offer one new date at our discretion.
- If you join late, the call will still finish at the scheduled time.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will offer you a new date or a full refund, whichever you prefer.
Preparation and follow up
When you book, please tell us what you would like to discuss so the call can be as useful as possible. After the call, we will send a short written summary of the main recommendations and next steps.
Confidentiality
We will keep confidential any information you share with us about your business and will not disclose it to anyone else without your permission, unless the law requires us to. We will not record a call without your agreement.
Nature of our advice
Our advice is based on commercial experience in the drinks industry and is given in good faith. It is not legal, tax, accounting, investment or other regulated professional advice, and you should take independent advice on those matters. Decisions about your business remain yours, and we cannot guarantee any particular result.
Our liability
Our total liability to you in connection with a call is limited to the fee you paid for it. We are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Who these terms are for
Our services are intended for businesses. If you are booking as a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Use of materials
Any written summary or materials we provide are for your own internal business use. Please do not publish them or share them outside your business without our permission.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to our business
If we later move the business into a limited company, we will update these terms. Any call you have already booked will continue on the terms that applied when you booked it.
